The arrival to the village is already full of charm, with a road in the Tuscan countryside on the slopes of Mount Cetona that passes through woods, rolling hills, fields with olive trees and rows of vines, leading you to a landscape of rare beauty. San Casciano dei Bagni, however, owes its true fame to the rich presence of therapeutic thermal waters, which, over the centuries, have made it the destination of princes, nobles, ambassadors, cardinals, bishops and common people who relied on springs to cure many diseases.

The municipal area boasts 42 thermal springs, which have a flow, rate of almost six million liters per day, used by Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa or which feed the vasconi of Bagno Grande and Bagno Bossolo. These last, a few minutes by walk from the square Matteotti, allow you to experience the pleasure of diving in warm waters outdoors, in every season of the year.
